CVE-2024-11218
A vulnerability was found in `podman build` and `buildah.` This issue occurs in a container breakout by using --jobs=2 and a race condition when building a malicious Containerfile. SELinux might mitigate it, but even with SELinux on, it still allows the enumeration of files and directories on the host.
What this means for your business
- An attacker can use it only with access to the machine itself, without a login, but only after tricking someone into an action such as opening a file or a link.
- FIRST's prediction model gives it a 0.4% chance of attack attempts being seen in the next 30 days, ranking above 29% of all known flaws.
