Redhat Keycloak

CVE-2024-7341

A session fixation issue was discovered in the SAML adapters provided by Keycloak. The session ID and JSESSIONID cookie are not changed at login time, even when the turnOffChangeSessionIdOnLogin option is configured. This flaw allows an attacker who hijacks the current session before authentication to trigger session fixation.

What this means for your business

  • It affects Redhat Keycloak. It matters if your company, or a supplier that handles your data, runs it.
  • An attacker can use it remotely, over a network, with an ordinary user login, but only after tricking someone into an action such as opening a file or a link.

What to do

  1. 1Check whether your company or your suppliers run Redhat Keycloak, and which version. The affected versions are listed further down this page.
  2. 2If you do, apply the vendor's fix. A patch or vendor advisory has been published.

Not sure if your company is exposed?
