Redhat Openshift Container Platform

CVE-2026-3012

A flaw was found in Samba’s certificate auto-enrollment Group Policy handling. When certificate auto-enrollment is enabled, Samba may retrieve a CA certificate over an unencrypted HTTP connection and install it into the local trust store without proper verification. An attacker with the ability to intercept or redirect network traffic could exploit this behavior to supply a malicious certificate authority certificate, potentially allowing interception or spoofing of trusted communications.

What this means for your business

  • It affects Redhat Openshift Container Platform. It matters if your company, or a supplier that handles your data, runs it.
  • An attacker can use it from inside the same network, without a login, and without anyone at your company clicking anything.
  • FIRST's prediction model gives it a 0.3% chance of attack attempts being seen in the next 30 days, ranking above 17% of all known flaws.
