Aiohttp Aiohttp
CVE-2026-54276
AIOHTTP is an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. Prior to 3.14.1, DigestAuthMiddleware can send an authentication response after following a cross-origin redirect. This likely requires an open redirect vulnerability or similar on the target domain for an attacker to be able to execute. Further, the attacker is only receiving the digest, so should only be able to extract the user's credentials if the cryptography is weak or there is some kind of password reuse. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.14.1.
What this means for your business
- It affects Aiohttp. It matters if your company, or a supplier that handles your data, runs it.
- An attacker can use it remotely, over a network, without a login, but only after tricking someone into an action such as opening a file or a link.
- FIRST's prediction model gives it a 0.3% chance of attack attempts being seen in the next 30 days, ranking above 23% of all known flaws.
What to do
- 1Check whether your company or your suppliers run Aiohttp, and which version. The affected versions are listed further down this page.
- 2If you do, apply the vendor's fix. A patch or vendor advisory has been published.
