Where things usually stand
You have outgrown spreadsheets and a patchwork of tools. Sales lives in one place, stock in another, and the month-end close depends on one person who knows which file is current.
Odoo can replace most of that, but it ships with hundreds of settings and several ways to do almost everything. Pick the wrong ones and you rebuild in a year.
What you need is someone who asks how your business actually runs, says no to customisation you don't need, and writes down exactly what will be delivered before anyone starts.
What's included
Fit-gap workshop
We walk your real process, from enquiry to cash, and mark what standard Odoo covers and what it doesn't.
Written scope and fixed quote
Apps, workflows, reports, data and training, listed line by line before any configuration starts.
Configuration
Products, price lists, warehouses, taxes, approval rules, email templates and user access, set up in Odoo itself.
Data migration
Customers, suppliers, products, open orders, stock levels and opening balances, cleaned and imported with a test run first.
Training by role
Short sessions for sales, warehouse, finance and managers, each on the screens that person actually uses.
Go-live and hypercare
We are on hand for the cut-over and the weeks after, fixing what real use exposes.
Handover notes
A plain record of how your Odoo is configured and why, so nobody depends on our memory later.
How it runs
Timings are typical for a small or mid-sized rollout. Your written plan sets the real dates.
- 1
Discovery and fit-gap
Week 1Workshops with the people who do the work, then a fit-gap document and a fixed quote.
- 2
Configuration
Weeks 2–4We build the agreed setup in a test database and show it to you as we go, not at the end.
- 3
Data migration
Weeks 3–5A trial import into the test database, your check of the result, then the final import at cut-over.
- 4
Training and acceptance testing
Weeks 4–6Your team runs real scenarios end to end. Anything that fails is fixed before go-live.
- 5
Go-live
Week 6Final data load, switch-over on an agreed date, and a consultant on call that day.
- 6
Hypercare
2–4 weeks after go-liveClose support while the first invoices, orders and month-end run through Odoo.

Implementation & consulting: questions
How much does an Odoo implementation cost?
Our founding-client price starts at $1,500 for up to three apps with standard configuration and data from spreadsheets. As a rough guide, a small business on three to five apps typically lands between $1,500 and $5,000, and a manufacturer or distributor on eight or more apps with 25 or more users is more often $8,000 to $20,000. These are estimates; the fit-gap workshop produces a fixed written quote. Odoo's own licence or subscription is paid to Odoo separately and is not included.
How long does it take to go live?
A small business on a handful of standard apps usually goes live in 3 to 6 weeks. Inventory, manufacturing or a move off another ERP stretch that to 8 to 16 weeks. The biggest variable is usually not configuration but how quickly your team can supply clean data and make decisions, so we agree named owners for both at the start.
Should we choose Odoo Enterprise or Odoo Community?
Community is free and open source, but leaves out several apps (full Accounting, Helpdesk, Field Service, Payroll, Quality, PLM, Barcode, Documents, Sign and others) and you host it yourself. Enterprise is a per-user subscription paid to Odoo, includes Odoo's own hosting on Odoo Online or Odoo.sh, and covers version upgrades of standard modules. If you need any Enterprise-only app, or don't want to run a server, Enterprise is usually cheaper overall. The assessment gives you both options with their licence and hosting costs side by side.
What do you need from us?
One decision-maker who can say yes or no within a few days, a person from each team for workshops and testing, and your data in its current form. Plan on roughly two to four hours a week from each key person during the project, more in the testing week.
Do we own our Odoo database and data?
Yes. The database and everything in it belong to you, whichever hosting you choose. The Odoo subscription is in your company's name, the admin login is yours, and you can export or move your data at any time. We work through user accounts you can revoke.
Which version of Odoo do you implement?
New projects normally start on Odoo 20, released in September 2026, or on Odoo 19 if a third-party module you depend on isn't ready for 20 yet. Odoo gives each major version three years of standard support, including security updates, so starting on the newest version gives you the longest run before an upgrade is needed.
Can you work with our accountant?
Yes, and we'd rather. We set up the chart of accounts, taxes and opening balances with your accountant's sign-off, and give them their own login so they can review the books directly instead of through exports.
