Odoo for professional services: See which work makes money, and bill all of it.
We set up Odoo so a deal becomes a project, hours become invoices, and you can tell which clients and contracts are actually profitable.

What we hear, and how Odoo answers it
“We do the work, then forget to bill it.”
Hours are logged in one tool, invoices raised in another, and extras agreed by email never reach the invoice.
From signed deal to project
Confirming a quotation in Odoo Sales can create the project and tasks automatically, so delivery starts from what was sold, at the agreed rates.
CRM
Sales
Project
“We don't know which projects lose money until they're over.”
Budgets live in the proposal, actuals live in timesheets, and nobody compares them while there's still time to act.
Hours that become invoices
Odoo Timesheets logs time against tasks, and invoices are drafted from billable hours, fixed-price milestones or both.
Timesheets
Invoicing
“Nobody knows who's free next month.”
Resourcing happens in a spreadsheet one person maintains, so new work is promised before anyone checks capacity.
Profitability while there's time to act
Each project shows budget against hours and costs so far, so overruns show up mid-project rather than at the final invoice.

Accounting
“Retainers renew whenever someone remembers.”
Recurring contracts are invoiced by hand, renewals slip and price increases are never applied.
Retainers and support on autopilot
Odoo Subscriptions invoices recurring contracts and tracks renewals, and Odoo Helpdesk handles support requests with time logged against the client.

Helpdesk
Signed engagement letters
Odoo Sign sends proposals and engagement letters for e-signature, and Odoo Documents keeps them filed against the client.

Good to know before you start
Project, Timesheets, CRM, Sales and Invoicing all run on Odoo Community. Subscriptions, Helpdesk, Sign, Documents and full Accounting need Enterprise.
Firms that bill in several currencies or through several legal entities can run them in one Odoo database with multi-company and multi-currency set up from the start.
If your firm has rules on client confidentiality, we set access rights so staff see only the clients and projects they work on.
VAT and e-invoicing rules, such as ZATCA in Saudi Arabia or Making Tax Digital in the UK, can be configured with Odoo's localisation modules. We confirm your country's requirements in the assessment.
Odoo for professional services: questions
Can Odoo invoice fixed-fee and time-and-materials work together?
Yes. One quotation can mix fixed-price milestones and billable hours, and Odoo drafts invoices for each according to its own rule. You review and send them.
Will our team actually fill in timesheets?
More often when it's quick. Odoo Timesheets has a timer on every task, a weekly grid and a mobile app, and we set reminders for missing hours. Training focuses on the two minutes a day people need, not on every feature.
Can clients see their project in Odoo?
Yes. The customer portal can show clients their tasks, timesheets, quotations and invoices, limited to what you choose to share.
We use separate tools for projects and accounting today. Do we have to replace both?
Not at once. Many firms start with CRM, Sales, Project and Timesheets and keep their accounting system for a while, connected by an integration or a regular export, then move accounting into Odoo once the rest is settled.
How long does it take for a services firm?
As an estimate, a firm of 10 to 50 people on CRM, Sales, Project, Timesheets and Invoicing typically goes live in 4 to 8 weeks. Agreeing billing rules and project templates takes longer than the configuration itself.
