Odoo for retail & eCommerce: One stock figure for the shop, the website and the warehouse.
We set up Odoo so tills, the online store, stock and the books share one database, and the end-of-day numbers agree.

What we hear, and how Odoo answers it
“We sold it online, but it was already gone in store.”
Stock syncs between the till system and the website once a day, if it syncs at all.
One stock figure everywhere
Odoo Point of Sale and Odoo eCommerce sell from the same Odoo Inventory, so a sale in either place updates stock straight away. Click-and-collect and transfers between shops are standard.
Point of Sale
eCommerce
Inventory
“Closing the till takes longer than it should.”
Takings, card terminal totals and the accounts are reconciled by hand, and small differences are never explained.
Tills that reconcile themselves
Each POS session closes with cash and card totals posted to accounting, so differences show up the same day with a cashier's name next to them.
Point of Sale
Invoicing
“Our loyalty scheme only works in one place.”
Points and gift cards bought online can't be used in store, or the other way round.
Loyalty, gift cards and promotions in both channels
Odoo's loyalty programmes, gift cards and discount codes are shared by the tills and the online store, and recorded against the customer.
Point of Sale
eCommerce
“We reorder on instinct.”
Nobody can easily see what is selling where, so best-sellers run out while slow lines fill the stockroom.
Reordering from real sales
Sales by product and location feed reorder rules in Odoo Purchase, and Odoo Email Marketing reaches customers by what they actually bought.

Good to know before you start
Odoo Point of Sale runs in a browser on tablets, PCs and dedicated POS hardware, and keeps selling if the internet drops, syncing when it's back. We confirm your card terminal is supported in your country before you commit, because payment terminal integrations vary by market.
If you already sell on Shopify, Amazon or another marketplace, you can keep it and connect it to Odoo, or move the store onto Odoo eCommerce. The assessment compares both.
Point of Sale, eCommerce, Inventory and Invoicing are all available in Odoo Community; Barcode and full Accounting need Enterprise.
VAT and e-invoicing rules, such as ZATCA in Saudi Arabia or Making Tax Digital in the UK, can be configured with Odoo's localisation modules, and some countries also require fiscal receipts from the till. We confirm your country's requirements in the assessment.
Odoo for retail & ecommerce: questions
Does Odoo Point of Sale work offline?
Yes. Once a session is open, the till keeps taking sales without an internet connection and syncs the orders when it's back. Card payments still need the payment terminal's own connection.
Can Odoo replace Shopify?
For many stores, yes: Odoo eCommerce shares products, prices and stock with the rest of Odoo, so there's no sync to break. Shopify still has a larger theme and app ecosystem, so if your store depends on specific Shopify apps, connecting Shopify to Odoo can be the better route. We'll show you both before you decide.
Which hardware do we need?
Any modern browser runs Odoo Point of Sale. Receipt printers, cash drawers, scales and customer displays connect through Odoo's IoT setup or directly, depending on the device. We check your existing hardware first so you only replace what doesn't work.
Can we run several shops and a warehouse?
Yes. Each shop is its own stock location with its own tills, and transfers, replenishment from a central warehouse and reporting by shop are all standard.
How long does a retail rollout take?
As an estimate, a single shop plus an online store usually goes live in 4 to 8 weeks. Several shops are often rolled out one at a time after the first, which keeps the risk on one location.
